Quality

The approved sample
sets the standard.

A written specification, a sample you approve, and checks against it at every operation.

  1. 01

    Before production

    Written specification

  2. 02

    Before the run

    Approved sample

  3. 03

    Between operations

    In-process checks

  4. 04

    Before release

    Dimensional and functional checks

  5. 05

    Before sealing

    Packing verification

Control system

Controlled from specification to packing.

  1. 01

    Written specification

Geometry, dimensions, finish and marking are recorded first. That document is the standard the run is measured against.

  2. 02

    Approved sample

A physical sample is approved before the run begins, and remains the reference for every repeat order.

  3. 03

    In-process inspection

Instruments are checked after forming, grinding and heat treatment, so a deviation is caught at the operation that produced it.

  4. 04

    Final packing checks

Set composition is verified against the packing list, and marking, labels and barcodes are checked against your approved artwork.

Evidence

Three things we look at.

  1. 01

    Approved sample

    Measured against the approved pattern.

Critical dimensions are identified per product, then verified on the run against the sample you signed off.

  2. 02

    In-process inspection

Checked while production is under way.

Selected manufacturing partners inspect the instruments between operations, using the written specification and approved sample as the reference.

  3. 03

    Final inspection

    Moving actions checked before release.

Scissors, pliers and carriers are function-tested as well as measured, so the action is proved rather than assumed.

Documentation

The product specification.

The product, dimensions, finish, marking and other agreed requirements are written down before production begins.

Product status

Instruments are supplied non-sterile. Product status, labelling and documentation requirements vary by destination market and programme — confirm the intended market during enquiry.

Next step

Define the standard for your order.

Send the product requirements. We turn them into a written specification and sample for approval.
